About Alliance Counseling
David Burke and Daniel Zomerlei founded Alliance Counseling Group in 2014, driven by a shared passion for caring for clients and helping clients find hope. Dan suggested that we could expand our impact if we worked as a team. That summer, we spent hours refining our vision and defining our core values.
Our Growth
We opened our first office in Grandville, Michigan, and began building relationships in the community. As the team grew, we opened additional offices in Byron Center, Holland, and an office on the west side of Grand Rapids. In response to growing needs, we also launched a telehealth team, allowing us to extend our services statewide across Michigan.
Comprehensive Care
As our practice grew, we recognized a pressing need: supportive psychiatric care for our clients. Many of our clients required medication, but access to prescribers was often limited and complicated by fragmented communication between mental health and psychiatric providers. To address this, we built a team of prescribers at AllianceRx who specialize in psychiatric care and women’s hormone health. These prescribers work closely with our therapists to ensure a seamless, integrated approach to care—a true collaboration that prioritizes the client’s well-being.
