Addie is a Licensed Professional Counselor working at the Byron Center office. Addie holds a Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Antioch University New England and is a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT, Board Eligible). Addie’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma informed. You will always be met with warmth and empathy, as you are. Addie is non-judgmental and strives to build a therapeutic relationship rooted in feelings of safety and trust so that you can share, process, and heal.

Addie’s training gives her a body-based lens for counseling. By utilizing strengths-based therapy and body-based mindfulness, Addie strives to help you to connect to your emotions on a deeper level. She will help you to learn to listen to what your body is telling you and work towards expressing feelings and needs to promote wellness.

Addie’s experience includes community mental health, crisis services, and school based counseling (Preschool -12th). Additionally, she has worked with adults with Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities and older adults with dementia. She enjoys working with teens, young adults, and adults that are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, day-to-day challenges, and those trying to implement self-care.
