Dr. Jenna Wierenga earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Masters in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Gender Studies from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jenna enjoys working with adults in individual therapy. She is welcoming and affirming of individuals with diverse identities. She is passionate about working with individuals to develop healthy ways of coping with stressors by exploring one’s past experiences and current actions in order to build and maintain a healthy and full life grounded in one’s identified values. Jenna is intentional about creating a safe and supportive space by offering a non-judgmental listening ear. She pursued a Masters in Theology as a way to better understand and integrate the spiritual concerns, questions, and doubts that inevitably arise in the face of struggles. She views therapy as a place where you can express your emotions (fear, anger, hurt, pain, doubt, longing, gratitude, etc.). Jenna has interest and expertise in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, relationship and interpersonal issues, women’s issues, and spiritual or religious issues. Jenna also provides professional consultation for therapists who value deepening their clinical skills, increasing their longevity, and creating a fulfilling practice.
